Easy Dinner Recipes
This dish is very quick and easy to make, especially if you use frozen green beans. If you decide to use fresh green beans then I would suggest that you wash, trim and cut into pieces then add them to a pot of boiling water for a about 2 minutes. Remove from water and then follow the same steps as frozen green beans.
Garlic is used for flavoring. If you would like to give it some spice, sprinkle with ground black pepper and some chili flakes. When the beans looks soft, add the almonds and stir fry. Be careful not to burn the almonds. You may add some Parmesan cheese or finely ground almonds when ready to serve.
Almonds are extremely nutritional. It is similar to olive oil in that it has monounsaturated fats. It contains vitamin E, magnesium, fiber and is low in cholesterol. It is recommended that one should eat no more than about 23 a day, to receive the full benefits of almonds.

In taste and quality frozen green beans are very similar to using the fresh variety. Nutrition experts vouch for the quality of frozen produce, as the vegetables once harvested, are quickly processed for freezing, destroying bacteria.
The fresh produce on the other hand goes to warehouses and distribution centers, and sometimes transported long distances before it gets to you. If you can buy local produce you have an advantage over the freshness compared to what is available in the supermarkets.
Green beans curry makes a delicious accompaniment to baked potato, garlic bread and roasted sliced tomatoes.
